Milestone kept their promise and actually announced MXGP 2 in September, and this game will only be available on current generation consoles and PC – the first game didn’t launch this way, in fact, only the PS4 got a port way after release (and we also reviewed it then), now, it’s not the case.
We are not expecting much from this game, because the first episode had a fair share of problems: audio bugs, disappearing bike in the service area (it’s really hilarious to see our guy work on the air, really), tiresome career mode, lack of customization for the player, lack of post-race celebration animations or podium (podium celebration was seen in SBK Generations, an earlier Milestone game, so…), same old menu for several years and an absolute lack of support after release, especially on the PC.
At least we hope they will bring over the tuning/own team solution from MotoGP 15, so we can say that the game actually improved after the first game. Hopefully they get themselves together by 2016 February – the game will be available then.
