The second installment of Sacred is getting a remaster, but there will be differences between the console and PC versions.
Ancaria stands on the brink. T-Energy, the mysterious power source that once brought prosperity, now fuels corruption, conflict, and chaos. Amidst war and betrayal, six heroes emerge, each with their own destiny, abilities, and journey through a vibrant open world. In this remaster of the beloved action RPG, Sacred 2: Fallen Angel, players return to a massive fantasy realm filled with hundreds of quests, dangerous dungeons, and unique combat arts. Battle monstrous creatures, uncover ancient secrets, and shape your character through loot, leveling, and deep customization. With refined combat mechanics, a modern user interface, full controller support, and all expansions included, the remaster breathes new life into a fan favorite—whether you’re revisiting Ancaria or setting foot there for the first time. Forge your legend. The fate of Ancaria awaits.
This definitive edition includes all expansions and updates, smoother and more responsive combat, a modern UI, full controller support, enhanced textures, lighting effects, and view distance, community-driven fixes, and improved stability. Multiplayer will be available on PC, but not on current-gen consoles—those players will have access to single-player only.
Sacred 2 was originally developed by Ascaron, one of the studio’s last games (the other being World War One). The German team is also known for the Port Royale and Patrician IPs. The game was released in 2008 by CDV and Deep Silver. The remaster is being developed by SparklingBit. The release is scheduled for the last quarter of the year, between October and December, for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
