Ire: The Prologue: Survive Thirteen Loops in the Bermuda Triangle! [VIDEO]

ProbablyMonsters has announced an internal, narrative-based horror game and is optimistic about its release this fall.

Inspired by ’80s horror, Ire: A Prologue is a first-person narrative horror game set in a loop with a terrifying monster. A missing father. A haunted ship. Thirteen doors lead to the truth. Emily’s father has vanished, and the only clues to his disappearance lie aboard a ship lost deep in the Bermuda Triangle. To find him—and perhaps bring him back—you must unlock thirteen mysterious doors hidden in the ship’s dark, narrow corridors, all while being stalked by a monster. How far will you go to uncover the truth?

A love letter to ’80s and ’90s horror, Ire: A Prologue immerses you in a haunting story from a young teenager’s perspective. Experience a dark world through the lens of her innocence and imagination—one loop at a time. A relentless monster is stalking you, and the only way to survive is to stay hidden. As you sneak around the ship, use your skills and size to outsmart it. Slip into clever hiding spots, squeeze into vents, and make noise to distract it. The smarter you get, the smarter it gets. Listen closely, move carefully, and collect the clues before it finds you. This is just the beginning. Ire: A Prologue sets up the deep narrative behind the many mysteries that await in the Ire franchise. Emily’s story sets in motion a chain of events that will change the world forever. Can you survive long enough to uncover the truth?

This first-person narrative horror game uses Unreal Engine 5 and is set aboard an abandoned ship in the Bermuda Triangle. Use stealth mechanics to play hide-and-seek with a dynamic monster that hunts you and reacts to your actions. Find, use, and assemble tools to distract and outwit the monster. Search each room for journals, cassettes, and discarded items to uncover the truth about the missing crew. Survive thirteen loops through the ship to reveal more of the narrative each time.

Ire: The Prologue will be released on October 28 for PC. There is no news about console versions.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
