Reikon Games and Plaion have finally set a release date for Metal Eden, which was originally announced as Final Form.
Metal Eden is an adrenaline-fueled, first-person sci-fi shooter. Aska, an advanced Hyper Unit, is sent on a suicide mission to rescue the citizens’ cores from the colossal, monolithic city of Moebius—a place that was once humanity’s promising new home, but has now become a deadly trap. Carve your way through cybernetic warfare against the Internal Defense Corps, face off against the Engineers, and uncover the mysteries of Project Eden. Immerse yourself in conflict against the machine forces guarding the secrets of this artificial world. Battle a diverse lineup of tough, agile mecha squads and elemental foes. Seize energy cores and destroy the Internal Defense Corps’ shields to gain the upper hand in battle. Upgrade your arsenal and combat skills to become an unstoppable Hyper Unit.
You are a Hyper Unit: an advanced combat android, built for protection and specializing in reconnaissance missions, powered by a Phantom Core. Use your enhanced parkour skills to dash, grapple, and wall-run through Internal Defense Corps facilities. Take advantage of your superior agility and acrobatic combat prowess during pulse-pounding encounters. Transform into an Armored Ramball to charge into action and face new, deadly mechanical enemies. Dominate the air and the battlefield with gravity hooks and a jetpack.
Moebius is a vast, monolithic city rising above the planet’s surface, protecting the mysterious Hive Tower. Once a beacon of hope for humanity, it’s now controlled by enigmatic Engineers and has turned into a deathtrap. Explore the brutalist, monolithic environments of the abandoned orbital city, as well as the mysterious world of Vulcan below. Take part in the conflict for the consciousness of a lost human colony stored within reinforced storage units.
Metal Eden will be released on September 2 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. There’s no mention of a Nintendo Switch 2 port yet—perhaps it will be considered in the future.
