This Diablo-style ARPG rooted in Greek mythology already knows how to win players over. The team behind Titan Quest 2 has revealed its ambitious update plan, confirming Early Access will run until the end of 2026, with a console launch scheduled for the same time.
The return of Titan Quest is aiming high, and it’s only just begun. This mythological Diablo-style ARPG has already attracted thousands of fans of titles like Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2. Although Titan Quest 2 launched in Early Access only a few days ago, the developers are determined to improve and complete the game through major updates leading up to its final release.
Following a successful Early Access debut, Grimlore has unveiled the game’s first official roadmap. In the coming months, players can expect a brand-new chapter featuring fresh areas, enemies, and challenges; a fully functional character editor for creating heroes from scratch; and a new Mastery to expand character builds and combinations. The announcement is accompanied by an FAQ video addressing community questions.
THQ Nordic plans to maintain a steady update cycle, with major content drops every three months and smaller patches every six weeks, focusing on bug fixes, balance tweaks, and quality-of-life improvements. The studio aims to keep Early Access running until late 2026, when version 1.0 will be released for PC and consoles (PS5 and Xbox Series X|S).
The team also confirmed that an early version of multiplayer is already available for testing, with the complete feature set coming later. Mounts, however, are off the table. The final release will retail for €49.99, but Early Access players can grab it now for €29.99.
The roadmap for next year includes more chapters, items, enemies, bosses, quests, masteries, crafting, enhanced multiplayer, language support, and more. While subject to change, the developers remain committed to enhancing the atmosphere, introducing new biomes, fine-tuning balance, and adding loot based on community feedback. If they deliver, Titan Quest 2 could become a worthy rival to Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2, the latter of which is set to launch its full free-to-play version later this year.
