World of Tanks: Heat – Wargaming Unleashes a New Kind of Tank Warfare

A brand-new, standalone free-to-play tactical tank shooter set in an alternate post-WWII timeline, World of Tanks: Heat aims to blend high-speed combat, hero abilities, and team strategy in explosive 10v10 PvP battles.

World of Tanks: Heat is Wargaming’s bold new spin on the tank shooter genre — a standalone PvP experience set in an alternate timeline shaped by rapid scientific progress and unprecedented global cooperation. In this reimagined future, the world’s technological marvels — once symbols of hope — have become the battlegrounds of a high-stakes global conflict. Elite agents now pilot prototype tanks equipped with unique abilities, fighting a war where precision, firepower, and tactical dominance matter more than borders.

Matches are fast-paced, ability-driven 10v10 battles featuring fully customizable vehicles and agents with distinct battlefield roles and upgrade paths. Timing, synergy, and smart coordination are everything. Competitive PvP modes include Conquest, Domination, and Kill Confirmed.

Each vehicle operates under a strict resource cap, forcing players to make meaningful trade-offs: boost your damage output or bulk up your armor? Modular systems include reactive plating, signature weapons, and active abilities — all designed to fit your personal playstyle. Every upgrade matters, every decision shapes your path to victory.

“World of Tanks: Heat is our boldest reimagining of the franchise to date, delivering a completely fresh take on tank combat with new mechanics, faster gameplay, and cutting-edge tech,” said Wargaming CEO Victor Kislyi in a press release. “It inherits the DNA of World of Tanks while offering something entirely new — tank battles in ways players have only dreamed of until now.” Artyom Yantsevich, Product Director, added: “This announcement marks a major milestone for our team. We’re incredibly proud of the work behind Heat and can’t wait to shape its future together with our players. Gamescom will be the first chance for the public to see it in action.”

World of Tanks: Heat is in development for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series consoles. Steam Deck support is planned, but no release date has been announced yet.
