The Hell Let Loose franchise shifts to a new theater of war as Expression Games and Team17 take players to the Vietnam War. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is a hardcore, platoon-based FPS featuring massive 50v50 battles, helicopters, patrol boats, and the infamous tunnel networks. Launching in 2026, it’s both a faithful continuation for veterans and a fresh challenge for newcomers.
Hell Let Loose: Vietnam expands on the tactical multiplayer shooter that debuted in 2021, immersing players in the brutal reality of the Vietnam War. In this unforgiving, squad-based FPS, victory cannot be achieved alone—it requires teamwork, tactics, strategy, and clear communication. Nothing else matters but ensuring your unit prevails.
Set between 1965 and 1973, the game recreates the atmosphere of the conflict with sprawling maps built for 50v50 battles. The developers have paid close attention to historical authenticity, aiming to deliver an immersive and respectful representation of the Vietnam War. While keeping the core gameplay of the original title intact, this new installment introduces combined arms combat with air, sea, armor, infantry, and support units.
Players will fight across six new maps set in Vietnam’s diverse and dramatic terrain. Air units provide fully operational helicopters for troop deployment, resupply, reconnaissance, and fire support. Naval combat also plays a role, with players able to command heavily armed vessels such as the iconic U.S. PBR patrol boat. Meanwhile, North Vietnamese forces can construct vast tunnel networks to gain strategic advantages for surprise attacks and stealthy troop movement—making mastery of tactics crucial.
Team17 and Expression Games reaffirm their commitment to supporting the game’s dedicated community, promising ongoing updates and content for fans of the original Hell Let Loose. Hell Let Loose: Vietnam is slated for release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC.
