Demi and the Fractured Dream: How Shattered Is It, Really? [VIDEO]

Yarn Owl and Annapurna Interactive’s new action-adventure isn’t just heading to next-gen platforms but also to one last previous-generation console.

In the magical Demi and the Fractured Dream, players take on the role of Demi and explore the realm of Somnus. As a Voidsent, Demi harnesses the powers of the void — cursed yet empowered by it. Guided by a mysterious voice from beyond, Demi must journey across perilous lands — from the wind-swept spires of the Desert Kingdom to the spiritual waters of the Marsh Kingdom — to slay the three Accursed Beasts and prevent an apocalyptic awakening.

The adventure includes puzzle-filled dungeons, combat against void creatures, and the legendary Accursed Beasts. With a wide arsenal of attacks, spells, and tools, players will shape their destiny while uncovering Demi’s role in this mysterious world.

Combat, puzzles, and platforming

Classic action-adventure combat is enhanced with a diverse arsenal. Perfectly timed dodges trigger void energy to empower attacks. Demi can equip ability-enhancing charms to fit your playstyle, while abilities also help solve complex puzzles and engage in dynamic platforming to reach treacherous heights.

Demi and the Fractured Dream is expected to release in 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (Steam, Epic Games Store, Microsoft Store). It will also release on the Nintendo Switch, which stands out as last-gen hardware among these platforms.

Is it just us, or does this game strongly echo The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild?

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
