Stellar Blade Surprises Fans – The New Update Adds Something Nobody Saw Coming

More than a year after its debut, Stellar Blade delivers a unique story conclusion with its latest update. Developer Shift Up has introduced three new epilogues alongside several gameplay improvements and bug fixes.

Although the game originally launched back in April 2024, Shift Up is far from abandoning Stellar Blade. The studio continues to support the PS5 and PC versions with regular patches, bug fixes, and new outfits for protagonist Eve. Now, the developers have taken things a step further by adding three new epilogues that bring fresh closure to the story and are likely to bring players back to the sci-fi action experience.

Update 1.4.1 is more than just a cinematic addition. Alongside various technical fixes, the standout feature is the new endings: three epilogues that, as explained in an official post on the game’s X account, “reveal the lives of Eve and the people of Xion after a specific ending.”

The team has also enhanced the Photo Mode. Screenshots captured through the Odyssey 3D Hub are now automatically saved into a folder called “Screenshots” in the game’s installation directory. Additionally, the patch resolves a critical progression bug in the “Strange Signal” mission that previously prevented players from advancing.

Stellar Blade 2 Is Already In Development

Shift Up has made it clear that it doesn’t plan to let go of the Stellar Blade universe anytime soon. The studio is not only continuing work on Eve’s current adventure but also aims to turn the franchise into a long-term series. Development of Stellar Blade 2 is already underway, with a target release date set before 2027 — and expectations are high that it will surpass the original game’s success.

While details about the sequel remain scarce, the goal is to exceed the first installment in both popularity and sales. According to Kim Hyung Tae, the game’s director, he is not entirely satisfied with the first game’s storytelling — an area they intend to improve significantly in the sequel significantly. Players can look forward to more explosive action, more intense combat, and a deeper, more engaging narrative experience.
