Infernal cultists, dungeon-dwelling deviants, inhuman abominations, and Pinhead himself collide in a nightmarish survival horror action game that turns every choice into a flirtation with eternal damnation.
Saber Interactive and Boss Team Games have finally pulled back the curtain on Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival, releasing the first full gameplay trailer for the project. Billed as a narrative-driven, single-player survival horror action title, the game pits players in a psychological and physical battle against the iconic Pinhead and his Cenobite followers, with their immortal souls on the line. The release is currently planned for 2026 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam. Horror fans will be pleased to hear that Doug Bradley is returning as the voice of Pinhead, adding an instant dose of authenticity to the atmosphere.
Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival tells an all-new story set in the Hellraiser universe. Players step into the shoes of Aidan, a man forced to tap into the forbidden power of the Genesis Configuration puzzle box in a desperate attempt to rescue his girlfriend from the nightmares of Hell itself. This journey drags him into a twisted realm of terror where fanatical cult worshippers, sex obsessed degenerates, and grotesque infernal monstrosities stalk every corridor. Along the way, he unlocks unique abilities and wields an arsenal of weapons that can serve as instruments of pain or perverse pleasure, constantly raising the question of whether he can save his own soul from eternal torment.
According to the developers, players will have multiple ways to fight back against the forces of Hell, combining the supernatural abilities of the Genesis Configuration with more familiar firearms and melee weapons. The trailer leans heavily into close-quarters brutality, lingering body horror, and a sense that every encounter could be your last, as Cenobites and lesser creatures alike close in from the shadows. Rather than a power fantasy, the footage suggests a constant struggle for survival where every victory feels costly.
The team highlights several key pillars for the experience. There is a fresh, self-contained Hellraiser narrative in which Aidan unwittingly helps kickstart Pinhead’s ritual to unleash ultimate torment upon the world, with Doug Bradley once again lending his unmistakable voice to the character. The Genesis Configuration itself functions as a kind of infernal toolkit, offering distinctive abilities that can be layered on top of conventional weapons to deliver bone-breaking, flesh-searing attacks. And throughout the campaign, players are thrown into a desperate fight for survival against Hell’s armies, from wretches and deviants to cultists and the most feared priests of the underworld.
Fittingly, the marketing echoes one of the franchise’s most famous lines: „We have such sights to show you…” The implication is clear: Clive Barker’s Hellraiser: Revival is not shying away from the grotesque, and those with weaker stomachs may want to think twice before opening this particular box. The game is already available to wishlist on Steam, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X|S, giving horror fans a way to flag their interest well ahead of launch.
For dedicated Hellraiser devotees, Boss Team Games is also preparing two special Collector’s Editions. Each one includes an exclusive version of the Hellraiser puzzle box with a unique illumination effect inspired by the game, a custom statue stand designed to display it, and a selection of officially licensed collectibles created specifically for these limited runs.
