Tormented Souls II: New Content After Six-Figure Sales!

Dual Effect and PQube announced that the recently released survival horror sequel has achieved respectable results so far.

Tormented Souls II was released on October 23 for the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and PC, so we are talking about a game that is barely a month old and has already sold more than 100,000 copies. While this is not a million level result, it is an outstanding achievement for a publisher like Dual Effect and PQube, which clearly does not have the kind of budget that companies such as Ubisoft or Electronic Arts can rely on.

The award-winning survival horror classic is back, and so is Caroline Walker. You once again stalk the halls of eerie monasteries and other nightmarish locations. Brace yourself to confront terrifying creatures, armed only with makeshift weapons, as you desperately try to rescue your cursed sister. After the events at Wildberger Hospital, Caroline longs for a normal life with her younger sister, Anna. However, fate has other plans. When Anna falls victim to a mysterious affliction that causes her to cough up blood, develop black marks around her eyes and lose consciousness, conventional remedies prove useless. In a desperate bid to save her sister, Caroline must turn to the supernatural.

Welcome to Puerto Miller, a remote town in South America with a chilling past. Founded ages ago by the reclusive Ismuit tribe, a small religious group that shut itself off from the outside world, the town hides unspeakable horrors beneath its ancient exterior. Expect pulse-pounding combat as you face monstrous creatures using a variety of clever improvised weapons. Every corner may conceal an enemy, so careful resource management is the key to survival. Use logic and reasoning to connect items found in the environment to the intricately designed puzzles. Combine resources creatively to unlock twisted enigmas and delve deeper into the dark mysteries that surround your journey.

“After the success of the first game, we had high hopes for the sequel, especially given the incredible work Dual Effect put into crafting such a strong follow-up. We’ve been blown away by the reception. We’re also working on some exciting new content and will have news in a few weeks… so keep your eye(s) peeled,” PQube chief marketing officer Andy Pearson said in a press release.

Congratulations on the results achieved so far!

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
