[TGA 2025] Star Wars: Galactic Racer Focuses on High-Stakes Podrace Runs [VIDEO]

Secret Mode and Fuse Games revealed Star Wars: Galactic Racer at The Game Awards 2025, confirming a 2026 release on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, and PC. This is not a heroic saga about destiny, but a ruthless, high-stakes racing game where survival depends on skill, strategy, and nerve.

Published by Secret Mode and developed by Fuse Games under the leadership of former Criterion Games general manager Matt Webster, Star Wars: Galactic Racer reimagines racing through a run-based structure set on the lawless fringes of the galaxy.

With the Empire finally fallen, speed has become the galaxy’s new obsession. As the New Republic struggles to rebuild, underground gambling and entertainment explode, giving birth to the Galactic League, an unsanctioned racing circuit backed by syndicates, where fortunes rise and collapse in seconds.

Players take on the role of Shade, a lone racer driven by revenge and ambition. The story-driven campaign unfolds through shifting alliances, while additional modes allow solo play or competitive player-versus-player races where reputation is always on the line.

Each race plays out differently. Aggressive moves and risky tactics promise greater rewards, but a single mistake can end a run instantly. Players pilot multiple classes of repulsorcraft, each with unique handling and physics, and fully customizable to match personal playstyles.

Progression is tied to rivalries, escalating challenges, and hard-earned rewards, as players climb the ranks of the Galactic League and carve out their place in this dangerous underground sport.
