One of Steam’s best action RPGs has been running in low gear for months – now comes the event you shouldn’t miss [VIDEO]

For months, one of Steam’s highest-rated action RPGs has been progressing at a noticeably slower pace, leaving players with more questions than answers. Moon Studios is now ready to break that silence with a special showcase that will shed light on the current state and plans of No Rest for the Wicked.

2024 proved to be a standout year for action RPGs. The release of Diablo IV dominated headlines, while Path of Exile 2 and No Rest for the Wicked arrived as strong new contenders, surprising both long-time fans of the genre and newcomers alike. Among these releases, however, Moon Studios’ title followed the most uncertain path, marked by extended quiet periods and unanswered questions surrounding its full release after early access.

With its latest announcement, the studio aims to put those doubts to rest. The Wicked Inside event is positioned as a key moment for the project, offering players a clearer understanding of where development stands and what lies ahead.

When will the Wicked Inside showcase air?

The broadcast is set for December 18 at 5:00 PM, Spanish Peninsula Time, and will be streamed live on Moon Studios’ official YouTube channel. According to the developers, this will be a substantial presentation, not just a brief update.

Wicked Inside will take the form of a deep dive into the next phase of development. A major focus will be the cooperative mode, one of the most requested features since the game entered early access, though the studio has made it clear that this will not be the only topic covered.

Moon Studios has also hinted at additional announcements during the event. These could include new gameplay features, quality-of-life improvements, balance tweaks, and a more detailed roadmap outlining how No Rest for the Wicked will evolve in the coming months. There is even the possibility of subtle hints regarding a potential release window for version 1.0.

Through Wicked Inside, the studio hopes to reinforce community confidence and signal a turning point in the game’s development. Coming shortly after The Game Awards, this week is shaping up to be especially significant for the immediate future of No Rest for the Wicked, particularly for players eager to finally experience its cooperative gameplay.
