DigitalFoundry took a deep analysis for the final code of Star Wars Battlefront. Their results are outstanding: it looks like DICE‘s game has a great framerate! Compared to the alpha and the beta versions, this FPS received a significant optimization, so the framerate sees major improvement.
There are no frame stuttering and frame drops, it’s almost always running on sixty frames per second – it goes down to 58-59 only during big battle scenes! DICE perfectly used the possibilities of the Frostbite 3 engine, probably because of Sony looking at them firmly. After all, Battlefront was released in a normal and a limited PS4 bundle!
Battlefront is out today, and we wrote about several things about this game: the Season Pass, the Battle of Jakku DLC, the day-1 patch, the developer diary with the heroes/villains presentation… so pretty much every single detail was covered. However, the game doesn’t look like a major success: on Metacritic, the PS4 version has an average score of 78 at the moment. Of course, there are server connection issues at the moment too…
