NetherRealm‘s Mortal Kombat X released in last April. It had an okay start on consoles, but PC users sadly suffered from a terrible launch. (Same happened to Batman: Arkham Knight as well – both are Warner Bros. games…) Now, a new version was announced, which got a tricky name: Mortal Kombat XL. What is it going to be? Maybe the prev-gen versions? No, those are cancelled – they are not going to happen.
Instead, you can expect the usual case of re-releasing: the base game and all the DLCs will be available in one package. This applies to the Kombat Pack 2, which launches the same day as Mortal Kombat XL. After these, NetherRealm might pull an XXL too, which would be a logical name after XL, wouldn’t it?
The game’s relaunch is going to happen on March 1 in the US and March 4 in Europe on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. Pricing is 60 bucks/euros for XL; the Kombat Pack 2 will cost 20 while the XL Pack with both Kombat Packs will take 25 dollars/euros, respectively.
