Bethesda answered a question on Twitter regarding the length of DOOM‘s campaign. The question is obvious: how long will it take to complete this mode? The answer is the following: „The difficulty level plays a factor, but folks playing at the office average 13+ hours in the campaign.”
If the average is 13 hours, then it might take around 10 on an easier difficulty and up to 17-18 (or even more) on higher ones to see the credits at the end of the game. That’s promising: it’s not common to see story modes with this length in games nowadays. id Software can hit the jackpot unless the campaign gets boring by the last levels.
Remember, DOOM‘s release date is public already: the game (using the brand new id Tech 6 engine) will launch on May 13 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Pc. We can find several (hundred?) hours in multiplayer modes and the level editor, so we might not just get the Blu-ray disc out of our PS4 that quick.
