Sony: Big Plans With Horizon Zero Dawn

Aloy could become the mascot of Sony.

In the nineties, both Nintendo and SEGA had an iconic figure that helped everyone associate with them – they were Mario and Sonic, respectively. Sony didn’t have anyone like that, although Crash Bandicoot was pretty much the unofficial figurehead behind PlayStation. Two decades later, there is a chance that a character would be officially backed by Sony.

Sony Interactive Entertainment UK’s brand manager, Jon Edwards told MCV that after Sackboy and Nathan Drake, the heroine of Horizon Zero Dawn could become an icon of the future for PlayStation.

He added that nothing had been announced yet, but there’s potential to make a franchise out of the game. (It means that if the game sells well, there will be a sequel.)

The PlayStation 4-exclusive, which will have Easy, Normal, Hard, and Very Hard difficulty levels, will arrive on February 28. Sony considers this title as one of the important games for the last quarter of the financial year.

Also, the UK TV commercial, which we showed a few days ago, will be aired in cinemas shortly – after Uncharted 4, it’s not a surprise.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
