Electronic Arts moves to the next step with the Ultimate Fighting Championship license.
The mixed martial arts can be quite brutal, and you can see just how much in the announcement trailer below. EA Sports‘ third UFC game is going to have Conor McGregor as its cover athlete, and the game will feature „Real Player Motion Tech,” which, apparently, „delivers the most fluid and responsive motion in EA SPORTS UFC history.” Over five thousand new animations were captured and rebuilt.
The game will have a new G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) career mode, where we can select both our fighting style and personality (calm, collected, or a backtalker). The Tournament mode is also worth a mention: you’ll take on as many opponents as possible with continuous damage and fatigue throughout the bracket-style elimination rounds. Multiplayer also gets new modes (Stand & Bang, Submission Showdown), and Fight Now Custom will have customizable matches (unlimited stamina, extra strike damage).
The game’s out on February 2 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, but if you buy the eighty dollar/euro Champions Edition, you’ll get to play from January 30, and you’ll also receive one UFC champion of your choice, as well as twenty Premium Packs in the Ultimate Team mode.
