Pornhub 2017: Sony Wins Another Year!

Well, well, well – we use the PlayStation 4 for more than just gaming…

Pornhub usually releases its recap of the previous year in the first half of January. They just revealed their 2017 review. It shows that if we just look at the site’s console traffic, then Sony beats Microsoft and Nintendo by a landslide!

The PlayStation (without any details whether it involves the PlayStation 3, the PlayStation 4, or both…) brand grabbed 56% out of the pie with a 6% year-on-year increase. Xbox (again, no details) saw a 7% drop to 32%. Meanwhile, the Nintendo 3DS pulled out a massive 110% increase… only to gain measly 1%. The PlayStation Vita (with a 9% drop) and the Nintendo Wii U both claimed 5%, while the remaining 1% is taken by the Wii, which also saw a severe drop of 83% from last year.

The PlayStation brand earned 61% on all three consoles, which is easily a majority. The word „Play” in the title could mean something else, then… but we should rather stop here. Or not, one more thought: video game character searches were mostly ruled by Overwatch characters…
