Despite the buggy and performance issue-riddled launch, Warhorse Studios‘ game sells well, and Warhorse Studios, the developers, already have plans.
Daniel Vávra told the Czech state TV that the medieval RPG has already sold 300 thousand copies on Steam, as well as about 100 thousand more in retail. On Steam, it immediately became the best-selling title on launch day, and with its 75071 concurrent players, it even managed to be one of the top five played games on Steam. It’s safe to say that Kingdom Come: Deliverance is selling well…
Vávra told Skillzone TV (translated by Resetera) that they are now working on DLC for the game (that they also plan to support in the long term), and one of the questlines is going to feature a female character to control. We don’t know yet if they will release modding tools, but it’s probably going to require a discussion with Crytek, as the game used CryEngine (albeit mostly rewritten).
So the game is selling exceptionally well, and it’s going to get another major patch in two weeks… plus a review by us this weekend.
