TaleWorlds Entertainment detailed on Steam how their game will punish us if we cannot get away from a crime we committed without being able to get away.
In the medieval sandbox RPG, we will have a crime rating that will be tied to the region – each of them will have one. The bigger our crime, the more aggression the NPCs will perform in the area towards us. There will be three main categories in the crime rating: mild, moderate, and severe – mild crimes will not be bothersome to most of the region, while the moderate level will result in us getting barred from entering settlements. The third category will make the NPCs actively hunt for us!
We can reduce our crime rating by paying the fines, but it won’t be sufficient in several cases, meaning we will be executed. We can avoid the whole procedure by bribing guards to allow entry into „banned” locations (or cloak ourselves to not be recognisable). If we commit crimes in a kingdom which put us into their vassals, we can clear the situation up, but it will negatively affect our relationship with our lord(s). If we do something unlawful in our kingdom, we can get away with them, but our kingdom’s happiness will drop, plus our relationship with the lords will still change badly.
TaleWorlds‘ PC game has no release date yet.
