Mortal Kombat X has been officially announced for a 2015 release with a new trailer depicting an impressive fight between good old Scorpion and Sub-Zero.
Warner Bros won’t give up on older generation consoles since besides our PS4 and Xbox One Mortal Kombat X will also be released on PS3 and Xbox 360 and this time PC owners won’t be left out from the game either.
The trailer below looks awesome. A number of key features were shown displayed, like the return of personal weapons and environmental interaction as well that allows you to rip branches off trees and beat your opponents with them.
However, given the fact the game will be cross-generational, it seems likely that this trailer isn’t made from gameplay footage, but so far both WB and NetherRealm have remained silent on exactly what it shows off. The game will apparently be on show at E3 next week, so hopefully we’ll be able to tell you more very soon.
The studio has also announced that MKX “launches players into a persistent online contest where every fight matters in a global battle for supremacy. For the first time, Mortal Kombat X gives players the ability to choose from multiple variations of each character impacting both strategy and fighting style. Players step into an original story showcasing some of the game’s most prolific characters including Scorpion and Sub-Zero, while introducing new challengers that represent the forces of good and evil and tie the tale together.
