Evil Dead game was delayed to 2022 to ensure that users can enjoy the game without online companions
When Evil Dead: The Game was confirmed to be delayed to 2022, the people behind the game said they were working on solo play options so that everyone could enjoy the adventure when their companions weren’t available. Now, Saber Interactive has shared new details.
In a chat with Geoff Keighley, Tim Willits, creative director at Saber Interactive, elaborated on different sections of Evil Dead: The Game, adding that there will be room for a couple of missions to be available for solo completion.
This statement is at odds with the promise made in the summer, so PCGamesN contacted the game’s creative director to find out more. “Players can team up with friends or play multiplayer accompanied by AI if they wish. There will be more information on this and the solo side missions that were mentioned sometime in the new year,” said a Saber Interactive spokesperson.
Evil Dead: The Game will be available for PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch in February, so it won’t be long before we are able to find out more about what’s on offer for solo enjoyment in what aims to be the best multiplayer experience in its field. Specifically, Saber Interactive invites players to join a team of four survivors, exploring, looting, crafting, conquering your fears, and finding essential items to seal the rift between worlds in a story inspired by the three original Evil Dead films well as Ash vs Evil Dead.
