TECH NEWS – The company may be preparing for a complete exit after last autumn’s GPU business closure.

EVGA was previously known for its motherboards and graphics cards, but later also made power supplies, cooling solutions, and computer chassis. However, the US-based company made an unexpected announcement last September when it said it would stop making Nvidia video cards and leave the GPU market behind. The significance of it lies in the fact that EVGA relied mainly on graphics cards, as it generally offered more options to US consumers, making it one of the best brands in the domestic arena… until the RTX 3000 series, as only prototypes of the 4000 series were made.

On a forum in South Korea, Coolenjoy, it was reported that Safedisk, a well-known overclocker, reported that the EVGA team in Taiwan had quit altogether, including the overclocker working in-house, who many of you may know (Vince Lucido, aka Kingpin). We don’t know if it is an internal reorganization or if EVGA is leaving the PC business altogether. According to Safedisk, this move has been expected for some time, and although it is rumored, he believes it is a fait accompli, an act that has already happened irreversibly…

“Hello, we would like to inform you about EVGA. Currently, all EVGA Taiwan office employees have resigned (including Kingpin). Closures seem to be becoming a fait accompli here. I don’t know what the warranty issue will be, but I hope EVGA users won’t have any complaints about this issue. I wonder what will happen in the future. We’ll have to wait for EVGA’s official announcement,” Safedisk wrote.

Indeed, if there are still many EVGA products on the shelves (because it can still be called a trusted brand), it is questionable how the current customers can enforce their product warranty. Perhaps the same way after they have closed their GPU business (they have kept the warranty). But so far, neither EVGA nor Kingpin has made any statement. If there is an exit, the departure will hurt the market.
