The toy figure company had previously said that Activision Blizzard had lost the games it had previously released.

The Transformers franchise has been a household name worldwide for several decades, but the battle between the Autobots and Decepticons has been a bit flat in terms of video games lately, and there’s not much of the IP on Xbox Game Pass either. Because of this, a member of the Hasbro team made a rather bold comment to Transformers World about the situation.

“Unfortunately, Activision doesn’t know what hard drives are in their building. When a company eats a company that eats a company, things get lost and it’s very frustrating. Hopefully now that the deal with Microsoft and Xbox is moving forward, they’ll go through all the archives and all the hard drives to find it all because it’s a simple Game Pass add-on,” the quote reads.

This comment caused such an uproar that Hasbro had to go back to the press, and VGC reported a statement from the company apologizing to Activision Blizzard: “To clarify, comments suggesting that Transformers games were lost were made in error. We apologize to Activision and regret any confusion – they have been great partners and we look forward to future opportunities to work together”.

What games are we talking about? Transformers: Devastation, Transformers: Fall of Cybertron, Transformers: Rise of the Dark Spark and Transformers: War for Cybertron are all involved. These were all previously published by Activision, and it is impossible to buy them digitally. So if you want to play them, you either have to dig into your pocket to buy a physical copy, or you are stuck with piracy on PC, because in this sense, warez is an acceptable alternative, because when a disc is put on eBay and the Steam code is used up, that is the only way to play it, and that is not to be condemned, since you cannot buy the titles in question!
