Is Dying Light 3 on the Way?! Suspicious Information Has Come to Light

Techland, the creators of the zombie saga, have registered a new trademark related to the Dying Light franchise…

Life did not stop at Techland even after the release of the famous and successful Dying Light 2 Stay Human. The Polish studio expanded its zombie game with quite a lot of content, which was supported by cosmetic packs, weapons and more. In addition, the updates were significant because they improved the experience – in particular, the night in DL2 is much scarier than what we learned when it was released.

However, in the past few hours, it has been revealed that Techland has registered a new trademark related to the popular zombie franchise called Dying Light: The Beast. As reported by Insider Gaming, it has not yet been approved, but it will only be a matter of time before the office accepts it. Since this is such a recent development, there are no details on what it could be, although the community speculates that it could be a new game or the second expansion.

It has long been known that the second expansion for Dying Light 2 is in the works.

The accessory slides. Initially, they were waiting for the end of 2023, but according to the announcement made on Techland’s official website, it has been postponed to 2024. The first can be known as Dying Light 2 Bloody Ties. This second DLC is expected to include a new level, more story, other characters and possibly other enemies. It remains to be seen if this trademark has anything to do with the plugin.

Techland has already talked about Dying Light 3

Over a year ago, we wrote about Techland starting to talk about a sequel on social media. Interestingly, they needed the community’s help to do this. Specifically, the head of the franchise asked on X what kind of protagonist players would like to control in a possible Dying Light 3. Answers included a survivor, a night runner, a pilgrim, or a well-traveled IAS agent. The community vote fell on the latter, but they also clarified that this survey doesn’t automatically mean that this will be their next game.
