I won’t gonna sugarcoat it: Close to the Sun is immensely disappointing and kinda bad. The only two redeeming qualities of this game are the sometimes good dialogues and the standout art style (including the world design) that together can create some fun and enjoyable moments that are able to elevate the product from the absolute mediocrity.

The game is a rather big surprise as the IP is pretty much dead with the sequel being shelved, and many thought the game is a simple cash grab with barely any fun attached to it. Especially so close to being to Days Gone release. In a weird twist of fate though, World War Z: The Game is actually….fun?

I'd have gladly swapped the format here, but since I do not have an interest in receiving yet another complaint novel, I'm not going to use a dialogue format in how Dangerous Driving isn't exactly something that the Burnout series was on the PlayStation 2 (fine, include Burnout Paradise, too...), as it has a few points that don't give it a high score at the end of the day.

It is a relatively simple story, with not that many twists or turns, and a lot of things are spelt out by the developers. The occasional revelations do happen, but I think the players will appreciate the story and most importantly the lore around Buddha plus Japanese history.
