Lindsay Lohan sues Rockstar for making a ‘Grand Theft Auto’ character “like her

Lindsay Lohan is suing Rockstar Games and its publisher Take-Two Interactive over a character in Grand Theft Auto V that she thinks is an “unequivocal” representation of her image, according to the Associated Press. The suit was reportedly filed today in Manhattan, claiming that Lohan‘s voice and image are reproduced in the game, as well as styles directly from her clothing line. Take-Two did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

The character in question is Lacey Jonas, a shallow and demanding actress who tries to escape from a group of paparazzi (as seen in the video above). Strangely enough, Jonas drew Lohan‘s attention despite being a fairly minor character in GTA V. It’s actually unclear that whether Jonas is meant to be a direct play off of Lohan or it’s just a caricature of Hollywood “divas” in general, but the Grand Theft Auto series has never been shy to parodying anything, from businesses, to television shows, to people.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
