Gamescom 2014: new Sony trademark: “A Million Ways to Die”

AllThingsGamescom1

Sony Computer Entertainment America has trademarked “A Million Ways to Die,” which is implying that the company may be working on a new IP.

Surfaced on a Neogaf forum, the trademark, was filed Aug. 6, and labels the property as “Downloadable computer game software via a global computer network and wireless devices.” While there is no other information known about the trademark, it is possibly related to a teaser Sony released today for the upcoming Gamescom show.

The trailer is mysterious, and Sony claims the title will “reinvent horror.” Because of the fact that the trademark was filed recently, and Sony is teasing a new horror title, it’s possible the two may be linked.
