Deep Down seems to be one of the most stunning games we’ve ever happened to see on the PlayStation 4. Capcom’s forthcoming action RPG is scheduled for release next year, but the company planned to release a beta in 2014.
Unfortunately the Deep Down beta has been delayed until early 2015 as well. The online beta was originally planned to be released earlier this year, but was delayed. Now it’s been delayed again.
Kazunori Sugiura the producer of Deep Down told to Siliconera, that they want to ensure the beta is without problems stable and functions well enough before it’s released to the masses. Bad news for American and European players: so far, the beta has only been announced for the Japanese market.
Deep Down is a PlayStation 4 exclusive action RPG that has online co-op added, where up to four players can fight together to complete the game. You can check out a new Japanese video of the game above, which showcases its online co-op multiplayer.
The game is still in development and might not be released until Fall 2015 — a full year from now. While it’s a bummer that we have to wait that long, Capcom has actually said that Deep Down will be free to play on the PS4. We’ll have to wait and see what kind of business model they have in mind.
