A lots of remakes for PlayStation 4 on its way but it’s not unusual: every time there is a console generation change, the very first year we can see a lot of remakes released on the brand new platform. Such as Sony’s own The Last of Us Remastered, Metro Redux, Grand Theft Auto 5, and a bunch of other games.
Well, now we have to add Saints Row 4 on that list as well. Famous for being a wacky, over-the-top version of Grand Theft Auto, Saints Row 4 is the craziest entry in the series, and it’s now coming to the PlayStation 4.
The remastered game is officially called Saints Row 4 Re-elected and will include updated visuals and new content. It will also include all of the previously released DLC. And the whole package will be quite cheap as well: Saints Row 4 Re-elected will retail for just $30 on the PS4.
Saints Row 4 Re-elected will be out on January 27, 2015, on the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. It’s developed by Volition, with another developer, Deep Voltage, helping with the port.
No screenshots or trailers have been released of the PS4 version. We’ll have to wait until we get closer to launch for those. At least we know that the mighty GTA 5 will get some competition in early 2015.
