Dubai is perhaps the wealthiest place on earth. There are some of the most expensive and over the top buildings and locations. Even the Dubai police force is famous for driving Lamborghinis. (Not golden ones. Yet…) Do you think that a regular PlayStation 4 would be enough in a place like that? Well you are sadly mistaken! Not for the ultra-rich in the country.

That’s the very reason why Dubai retailer Jumbo Electronics will release a custom PlayStation 4 which is made out of gold. The gold consoles are really chic and are constructed by Italian jeweler Gatti. Each of the PlayStation 4 consoles will reportedly cost upwards of $14,000. The console will be shown and can also be purchased during Dubai’s annual games conference, called Games14. A golden Xbox One will also be available.

Jumbo Electronics spokesperson spoke to the press about the golden PlayStation 4:

“We’re excited to be launching the most unique and valuable gaming consoles in the world at Games14, specially created by Gatti. Available to both Xbox and PS4 fans, the high-end materials and exquisite detailing of the gold consoles make it a great collectible item for gamers who love luxury.”

In the Dubai version of Goldfinger James Bond feels a golden PS4 instead of a naked woman covered in gold.

Gold-covered cars are nothing strange in Dubai, so a “humble” PlayStation 4 is nothing by comparison. Still, you’d have to be awfully rich — the kind of rich where you just throw money away on stuff like a golden PS4.

And you know what’s funny? They didn’t even put a larger hard drive in it…
