Techland confirms Dying Light delay of physical release

Saturday we reported that the upcoming survival horror game Dying Light might be delayed in some countries and today Techland has confirmed the news with the following statement:

“There will be a short delay in the release of physical copies of Dying Light in Europe, Middle East, Africa, Asia and Australia. The game will have a global digital release on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC of January 27, 2015. As physical production has a longer lead time than digital there is some delay in the aforementioned territories. We will share information on the availability of physical copies as soon as it is confirmed.”

Luckily, it seems to simply be a snag in the physical production of the game rather than an outright delay due to the recent terrorist attacks, a rumor that had been gaining traction.

The North American version remains unaffected and is still planned to launch both physically and digitally on January 27 for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.
