Rock Band 4 announced, will support our prev-gen equipment and songs

Harmonix’s successful franchise is about to be revived – the rumours were proven to be true. Rock Band 4 will arrive to PlayStation 4 and Xbox One later this year with a new graphical engine. There are other surprises: the game will support our previous generation (PS3/X360) instruments, plus 2168 of the previously released songs! New songs haven’t been announced yet, but I doubt we won’t get any.

There will be new instruments, like a new guitar and drum kit. Another low blow to others: Harmonix plans this game to be for the entire console generation – instead of releasing a new iteration each year, they would like to update RB4 over the course of the years. Others should take note!
