A PS4 owner got hacked, lost 600 dollars, but Sony wouldn’t refund him

There’s nothing worse than to wake up to see that someone spent 600 dollars without our knowledge on our PSN account, our PlayStation4 being banned from PSN, and furthermore, our account becoming primary on another console… but sadly, this is a true story. However, Sony doesn’t want to entirely refund the innocent user, instead, he would only receive 150 dollars on PSN credit (no bank transfer!), and if he’d escalate this with his bank, Sony would ban his account and entirely wipe his library, which wouldn’t be possible to be reinstated.

This is unbelievable – but if the guy is actually innocent, isn’t it possible to look up who got the control of his account? (After all, that needed an internet connection!) Simply shocking…

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
