Capcom’s fighting game, Street Fighter V’s release is still far away, but preorderers can pick a beta version up pretty soon. However, this beta will exclusive to the PlayStation 4, PC owners will not be able to test the game in its current form. Also, PS3 controllers and joysticks will not be supported!
The beta, which is mainly created to test the netcode of the game, will be available from July 23 6 PM PT/July 24 2 AM GMT, and it will be playable for five days. This beta will have the six characters from the E3 build: Ryu, Chun-Li, Nash (Charlie), M. Bison, and from July 25, Cammy and Birdie will be available.
The beta will not have local multiplayer, we will immediately be thrown onto the character selection screen, and we’ll be stuck in the Grid until an opponent appears. Choose your character in advance, because you won’t be able to reselect after you get out of the Grid. After the match, you end up back there again, while you get your turn in the queue. There will be three stages, Bustling Side Street in China, London’s Terminal Station and a new stage, Forgotten Waterfall.
Also, Yoshinoro Ono, the dad of Street Fighter is already teasing Blanka and a new stage in Brazil in the video below. These will not be in the beta!
You can still try to get a beta key on the game’s website: http://www.streetfighter.com/
