Another game, or to be exact, another Ubisoft game faced the unpopular decision of delay – as the French company’s previous delaying for Watch Dogs was big, it’s certainly not an unexpected move to see that Rainbow Six Siege will be released a bit later compared to the original release date. Their reasoning os that they want to improve the cooperative experience, the usability of the menus and the interface, plus they also want to improve the weapons and gadgets’ balance.
The retail version of Siege will be released on December 1 (interesting: Avalanche Studios’ both game is sharing the release date with another AAA title: Mad Max on September 1 with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain and Just Cause 3 on December 1 shares with Rainbow Six Siege), so we will likely have to decide on which game will we want to tackle first. The closed beta’s date is still the same though: it’s going to be out on September 24, but because of the extra time, Ubisoft promises a higher quality product.
But then, make sure that the time is used wisely to improve, so make good use of that one and a half months… but then again, this is the last FPS game of the year after the delay, so we’ll see how the delay helps it.
I love this franchise of Ubisoft! 🙂 Siege will be amazing!
