Well done, Square Enix – this is an excellent guerilla marketing campaign in our opinion. They put some posters around New York City, but not in a way that everyone can quickly observe what these promote. Keep Our Streets Human! Are Your Children Safe?
Protect Our Future – see? Just by hearing these, you wouldn’t immediately associate to the new Deus Ex game, Mankind Divided. Each poster has a website (this redirects to Deus Ex‘s website), and a QR code each. Scanning these give us even more propaganda posters, but these are more visually appealing and… brutal. Machines don’t bleed, Augmented are! Don’t let them tear us apart, we are stronger together. And so on. They look really nice and stylish.
Great marketing – hopefully Eidos, who promised to release the game in the first half of 2016 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, will bring out another quality title. We see the potential to overcome the high bar set by Human Revolution. If that happens, we will roll in happiness on the ground.
