During E3. it turned out that PlatinumGames is working on a ton of games – Transformers Devastation, which will be a beat’em up featuring the Generation 1 robots and going to be published by Activision, is one of them. If you’re a fan of those eighties’ bots, you don’t have to wait much longer until the release, as it’s going to be out on October 6 for both the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3. Unsurprisingly, the game will also have preordering incentives…

There’s going to be six extras, three of them will be skins (Nemesis Prime, Red Alert and Goldfire) and the other three will be exclusive weapons: the Dark Star Saber is a fiercely intimidating blade that radiates waves of dark energy with every swing, the Photon Disruptor is an incredibly powerful, shotgun-style weapon that has a short range but deals huge amounts of area damage and the twin Golden Hunter is a pair of blaster pistols that causes enemies to drop credits when attacked.

The trailer feels like PlatinumGames will give us an aggressively paced, dynamic game, and the cel-shaded look will help the game to run normally on previous generation consoles. Soon, we can knock Megatron out with Optimus Prime – it’s about time.
