It’s been around a week since Kojima Productions‘ final game, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain (which seems to lack not only Mission 51, but apparently, a third chapter called Peace as well) turned out to have a save deleting bug. It gets into action, if you choose Quiet as your partner for Missions 29 and 42.
Meanwhile, some players have found a non-official solution in changing the emblem to the butterfly one, but now, Konami themselves have stepped up and announced a patch for Hideo Kojima‘s game in order to avoid it happening to others around the world.
It was announced on Twitter – roughly 9 hours ago at the time of writing this news article, so it’s somewhat new -, and it’s already applied to the PlayStation 4 and PC. So these two platforms are now safe from the bug and Konami is probably going to deal with the other three platforms over the course of the day – or days -, so be patient in case you play The Phantom Pain on the PlayStation 3. Until then, good gaming!
We’re happy to report that a fix for the Quiet/save data issue has now been implemented for PS4. The same fix for other platforms are coming

Also, we continue to look into server issues and are working on solutions for all affected platforms. We hope to implement these soon
