22 days of gaming = Deadly!

A 17-year-old boy broke his leg, so he’s stuck at home, and to avoid being bored, he started playing. This would be all fine, but the boy named Rustam only stopped playing the game – called Defence of the Ancients -, when he took some food and naps (no toilet breaks?). However, after breaking his leg, he played for 22 (yes, twenty-two) days in a row without stopping pretty much, and eventually, he died during that…

The Russian kid played quite a lot, but he reacted during his sessions by slamming his keyboard and cursing at his monitor in his anger. His parents were worried, when these stopped, but they were too late: despite calling the ambulence, their child died. He couldn’t be saved.

Apparently, he died because of thrombosis, affecting those, who stay in one spot for extended periods of time. Let this be a warning for us: although gaming is good, always try to get up and walk for say, a cup of tap water every hour or two, because you are moving your limbs during so. Don’t end up like Rustam, who’s now playing up there…

Anikó, our news editor and communication manager, is more interested in the business side of the gaming industry. She worked at banks, and she has a vast knowledge of business life. Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
