Comcept was (is?) in some trouble with the unofficial Megaman-sequel – since Keiji Inafune has left Capcom in 2010, he formed Comcept, and he put up a Kickstarter campaign to help create is own interpretation of the Blue Bomber, as he wasn’t able to get the license from his former employer. The Kickstarter was a success, but the game now saw several delays, and we got another release date – the September 2015 date was changed to 2016, but now, it is concretized… hopefully. (Who knows, we might see another delay…)
Comcept – working together with Inti Creates, the team behind Megaman 9 and Megaman X – is now aiming for a February 9, 2016 launch date in the States, followed by a February 12 European start. The game will be published by Deep Silver. We’re still worried about this: what is the guarantee that Mighty No. 9 won’t get delayed again? Sometimes, Kickstarter throws out some problematic campaigns, and this game is one of them as of now…
There’s also a new gameplay video of the demo, which now has a Japanese audio (which seems to be way better than the English one), but the English subtitles are still not perfect. Can the localization pick up the pace already? It looks wonky for us…
