Until Dawn: It surpassed expectations, a sequel is possible

Supermassive Games’ Until Dawn can take a respectable position in the line of PlayStation 4-exclusive titles: while it was released in the end of August, in the United States, it ended up the 7th best selling game of that month, and it also launched in second place in the United Kingdom in its release week. The question is pretty much given: what about a possible sequel? Will there be one?

Pete Samuels, the game’s executive producer has given a small interview to PlayStation Lifestyle. He said that they didn’t expect Until Dawn to be out of stock in shops in the first weeks after launch, so it was a surprisingly good performance for them. There are internal discussions already about a sequel, but it wouldn’t be a traditional sequel: they can’t use the same place, the same characters and the same enemies. It’s too early to say that they work on Until Dawn 2 already.

Until Dawn is a really good game, we liked it a lot – you can read our opinion of Supermassive Games’ work in the review here.

Still, she likes puzzle and story-oriented games, like Sherlock Holmes: Crimes & Punishments, which is her favourite title. She also played The Sims 3, but after accidentally killing a whole sim family, swore not to play it again. (For our office address, email and phone number check out our IMPRESSUM)
