Once upon a time, there were none – we earlier have written about how Sony isn’t working on any PlayStation Vita games themselves, as Sony Computer Entertainment’s current focus is solely on the PlayStation 4 (and that will see results as soon as in 2016). So Masayasu Ito’s comments were managed to be confirmed false by another person.
It was none other than Jim Ryan, the European Sony boss, who talked about the PS Vita‘s future. He was also the lead speaker during Paris Game Week‘s Sony conference. While he admitted that there are no big budget PS Vita titles in any of Sony’s first-party studios, there was a misunderstanding in regards to Ito’s previous statement. There will not be any more big-budget AAA titles (were there any to begin with?), but there are still ideas for the PlayStation Vita. We’ll see about that soon, we doubt that anything will happen…
Okay, so why not mention the PS Vita AT ALL during the Paris Game Week conference? Because it was really absent, while the PlayStation 4 was pretty much the sole focus…
