Free DLC is good. (The existence of DLCs is an entirely different subject though.) Seeing a situation like this really makes us think though: the teaser for this DLC is showing somewhat different things as the base game itself. After this, it’s no wonder that the commenters under the video below on YouTube are blaming Electronic Arts and DICE for false advertising…
Still, the Battle of Jakku DLC will be available for free for everyone to hype the Star Wars VII movie up, hoping to see more viewers in the cinema. For pre-ordering, you can get this DLC from December 1, but everyone else will have to wait one more week until December 8 on all three platforms (PlayStation 4. Xbox One, PC).
The crash of the Star Destroyer is a very nice sight, not to mention the desert, barren landscapes of Jakku. It’ll be interesting to see how the David-Goliath battle will be shown – after all, the Rebels and the Empire are in a situation like that. But think about it: launching a DLC two weeks after launchng the game? Were those rumours about EA rushing DICE to finish the game right? Even though their expectation is to sell 13 million copies by the end of March…!
