Deus Ex: Mankind Divided was seen in positive and negative ways since its announcement. Do you remember the preorder tiers? It’s no surprise that Square Enix and Eidos ended up cancelling this ridiculous preorder program altogether. However, there may be another reason behind this cancellation as the game won’t hit the stores on the originally targeted release date…
The game got delayed, because the developers don’t think they have jumped their high standard bars with the current build of Mankind Divided yet, therefore, they delayed the launch date from February 23, 2016 by HALF A YEAR. No typo, Eidos pushed the launch of Deus Ex: Mankind Divided back to August 23 of next year!
Okay, dear Eidos: after all, Human Revolution got released around the same time of the year back in 2011. If the result is going to be a quality game, then we can forgive you the massive delay. If not, and Adam Jensen’s return will be a disappointment, we will all say, „I never asked for this.”
