Metro games are rarely seen , but they have decent quality. After 2033, Last Light wasn’t too shabby either. Both games got ported to the PlayStation 4 under the Metro Redux bundle last year. However, 4A Games didn’t seem to do anything else after that, but it turns out that they are silently developing something new.
They are already working on a new, so far unannounced Metro project. This was listed in one of the employee’s LinkedIn profile. Andriy Verpahovsky is working at 4A Games as a lead technical game designer, and he mentioned this, as well as another new project in his resume. The other unknown game is currently not being developed due to being halted – it’s going to have a space setting. Interesting.
Verpahovsky’s information states that the new Metro game will have a crafting system as well as an inventory to tinker around with. That means it’s going to be something radically different than the two previous Metro games – are they going towards an RPG style? Hope to see it officially unveiled soon!
