Activision racked up a ton of cash this year with Treyarch‘s game Call of Duty Black Ops III. This is the first game in the franchise that somewhat forces the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 players to abandon their decade-old consoles and move on. Why is that?
The first DLC (called Awakening) is also the first in the history of Call of Duty that will have timed exclusivity on the PlayStation 4. We pointed out the PS4 for a good reason because the map packs/DLC-s are not going to be made for the previous console generation anymore! Please update – says Activision. They also dated the Awakening‘s PS4 release date: it’s going to drop on Black Ops III on February 2. If we had to guess the Xbox One and PC date, it’d probably be early March – after all, the Xbox seemed always to have a month of advantage over other platforms.
The Zombies mode will get the Der Eisendrache map, and the multiplayer will receive Gauntlet, Rise, Splash and Black Ops 2’s Hijacked in a remade format called Skyjacked as new maps.
Amazing trailer! I love it!
