Valkyria Chronicles has an interesting situation – you might not even remember SEGA‘s game after all these year. Originally, this tactical RPG was developed for the PlayStation 3. It was released in 2008, which was followed by a PC port last year. Meanwhile, there’s also a PlayStation 4 remaster in development. It’s going to be out in Japan in February, but there is no information about its localization. This is why the video below is in entirely Japanese, but you might still understand what happens.
The game plays in a fictional Europe, loosely based upon the early events of the second world war. The neutral land of Gallia gets attacked by the Eastern European Imperial Forces, and the Gallian militia has to defend itself.
Will we receive the updated version, or will SEGA‘s RPG stay in the Asian country? Seeing how Yakuza 0 is going to step out of the country, there might be a slight chance for Valkyria Chronicles to follow suit. It only depends on SEGA.
