Jonathan Blow and Thekla Inc. have moved on from Braid onto a new game called The Witness. This game got another Long Screenshot video, which is pretty much what the title suggests: don’t expect a gameplay video below because this trailer is just showing off the game’s environments and the atmosphere.

Although the game is exactly one month away from the release – it’s going to arrive on January 26 on PlayStation 4 and PC -, Jonathan Blow talked about the possibility of a disc-based version for The Witness. He says that several people asked him to make a disc release for this game, but it’s not going to happen at the end of January. He’d rather use this time to finish up this three-dimensional puzzle game and bugtest everything instead of waiting for the physical copies to be made.

Publishing on Steam and the PS Store is much faster than the physical production. The development gets more time. However there is a chance of a physical release later on – maybe he will pull it off in the spring!
